Practical details

My counselling sessions are 50 minutes and each session costs £60. My office in Bury St Edmunds is a couple of minutes from the A14 and has free parking onsite. I also offer sessions online via Zoom.

I have a limited number of spaces where I can negotiate a lower fee. Please ask for further details if you cannot afford the full fee. It is important to state that this is done on trust (i.e. I don't ask for any personal financial details).

Ultimately, whoever you decide to see, you should not feel pressurized to see a therapist or have to commit yourself to payments and sessions beyond what you feel comfortable about.

Counselling is confidential, within certain limitations: it is extremely rare for a therapist to break confidentiality.

As a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I subscribe to their code of ethics. Clients can also make a complaint to this body.

Before your initial session think through what you’d like to achieve from the counselling and any particular questions or worries you have. It may be a good idea to write something in relation to these questions.
